Klapa Reful - Samo bi te gleda
Klapa Reful - Sve san moru da
KLAPA REFUL
Klapa Reful Rijeka is a traditional Dalmatian male a capella group with a tendency towards making beautiful music for a wider audiences. Garcia Production's collaboration with Klapa Reful started with the making of an album - “Sve san moru da”, which is expected to be published in the second half of 2015 on the 10th anniversary of Klapa Reful.
The first of many results of our collaboration was the song entitled "Sve san moru da" written by Nikola Srzentić and Boris Barković, that entered into the first stage of music awards competition - Porin 2011.
KLAPA REFUL BIO
Klapa Reful was made by a couple of enthusiasts in the summer of 2005 in a small town called Hreljin, near Rijeka. In 2006, Reful proudly passed into the finals of the "Festival of Dalmatian Klapas" (FDK) in Omiš and won 7th place. In 2007, klapa Reful won first prize at "MIK Festival" Rijeka, in collaboration with a well known pop singer Gina Picinć. From that period until 2010, klapa Reful had many concerts and interesting collaborations in and outside of Croatia.
In 2010 klapa Reful accepted 3 new members and decided to change it’s name to Klapa Kanat, Kostrena. Soon after that, the newly formed klapa Kanat performed “Sve san moru da” as debutants at the festival of Klape & Mandolins in Opatija and was chosen to go to the first stage of the Porin music nomination awards. At the end of 2012, the setup changed again and with a few new and younger members, klapa decided to return to its original name Klapa Reful. Soon after this, klapa started to record an album that is expected to be published at the upcoming 10 year anniversary in the summer of 2015. With great respect to the Dalmatian traditional klapa-form and determination to preserve its greatness, klapa Reful also works hard on covering modern pop songs which are all arranged by the klapa leader Nikola Srzentić.
With the anniversary approaching, klapa is working hard to finish the CD with the title song “Sve san moru da”, as well as giving lots of interviews on radio, TV and the social networks.
At the time of composing "Sve san moru da" Klapa Reful had temporarily changed their name to Klapa Kanat. Nikola and Boris as members of the klapa, wrote this song for Kanat to perform on "Festival Klapa i Manolina, Opatija". The song was a huge success and soon after the festival, Nikola received a call from the official festival publisher - Dancing Bear. Dancing Bear asked for permission for "Sve san moru da" to be entered into the first stage of the music award competition Porin.
Klapa Reful entered the "EZdrummer Songwriting Competition" in June of 2014. This songwriting competition was created by Toontrack company and was published by Meltwater Promos over Facebook. Klapa Reful entered the competition with their original song "Samo bi te gleda" written by Nikola Srzentić and won the first stage of the competition by getting the most votes out of 3000 entries from all over the world. Now the second stage is about to reveal the winner of the competition
on 8th September of 2014.
Klapa Reful - Umirem sto puta dnevno
After the success with "Sve san moru da" Klapa Reful decided it was the right time to start planning for the publishing of their CD. The timing was perfect because soon they will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary. They decided to present themselves by having all three genres on this album. Traditional Dalmatian a capella songs (where the roots of every klapa should be), a capella covers of famous pop songs and their own original compositions. The first cover song they recorded was "Umirem sto puta dnevno" arranged by Nikola Srzentić and on this recording they had guest lead singer - Lino Ćućić.
